Common questions
How is the total cost of a transfer worked out?
We add up three things: the provider's fixed fee, its percentage fee, and the margin it adds to the exchange rate over the mid-market rate. The total is shown in the currency you send, alongside the exact amount the recipient gets.
What is the mid-market rate?
It is the midpoint between the buy and sell prices of two currencies on the global market — the fair rate you see on Google or Reuters before any bank or provider attaches a margin.
Do I need an account to use these calculators?
